Peanut Butter Banana Protein Smoothie

Hi all.

Yesterday before bed I was scrolling through pinterest for a few minutes and found this oh so good smoothie recipe. It needed a frozen banana so I ran downstairs at midnight to do just that. So, this morning I had a protein filled smoothie for breakfast before heading to the office and it really was sooo good. (I wouldn't be sharing it if it wasn't!)

You need:
1 frozen banana
3 oz. vanilla yogurt (I used homemade kefir-i'd say I poured a 1/4 cup in)
A bit less than 1/4 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup milk

Combine all in a blender. If you are not a fan of peanut butter, you should enjoy it. The taste of peanut butter is so mild. My mother is proof of that. She hates peanut butter but thougth the smoothie was good. I actually added more to mine so I can have a greater peanut butter flavor.

Green Smoothies

Hi all,
Hope everyone's weekend went well...I had to do t-shirt selling in Buffalo...long drive both days, missed church :( but there won't be any more this month so I will be free from them for a little bit. Well, on Friday I tried a new smoothie recipe, and thought I should share it because not only is it healthy, but it also tastes very good!

 The recipe goes as follows:

2 cups spinach
8 strawberries
1 cup milk (or Kefir, or pineapple juice, whatever you prefer :))
1 tablespoon sugar, or honey
Put the spinach, sugar, and milk (or other liquid) in a blender, then chop or puree whatever you need to do for the spinach to "chop up" and become uniform with the liquid. Add the strawberries, one at a time, and taste. Basically, you get the health benefits of spinach in a great drink! It tastes very good. In the summer, I would add ice, and make it thicker, like a milkshake. You can add mango, or whatever other fruit you have on hand. Enjoy!
