Last Day of May

Hello all!
Although I don't have much time, I wanted to hop on here to say how the past few days went. It was the Syracuse conference over the weekend. I came on Sunday, and it was great...God is so good to us. One thing I will always remember is our drive home, and having to suffer because of the air conditioner. I mean, it got cold!!! But, we couldn't turn it off because the windows would fog up. It was pure torture. Plus, we left late and it was thundering and lightning but we arrived home safely.
Monday was memorial day, and I decided to go to Hamlin beach and hang wit family, since the previous year I did not. It was fun and exciting as I like to say. Took pictures but I'm at a stage where I am really debating whether I'd like to continue to put pictures on this blog...
Then I went to church. It was after 4, but still had a good time. The sermon at the end was great. You always learn something new. For example, I never realized how much of a human's mind actually controls the person (and their future). I thank God that he has protected me from so much bad. The phrase "must of been nice..." was used  occasionally quite frequently between Angela and myself. I will also remember a phrase she told me, "out of all the people, you are like the only one that hadn't given up on me." God puts people in our lives for a reason.
Also my baby cousin was born last week and I still haven't seen him! I am ashamed. I feel bad because I have no idea what my aunt is thinking! We're pretty close and for me not to have seem her baby already is just pathetic, or so I say. I am just so... like never home. Always busy.
This morning I went to the preschool. We were practicing for their graduations, and I already almost started crying. I am going to miss them! Kids grow on you, even if you see them twice a week! I can't imagine what it'll be like what I let my own kids go in June (when I'm a teacher). After I went to my first day of summer class. Ugh. It was good though. I'll be fine, but it is still school. I ran some errands like paid a cellphone bill, stopped by Wegmans, helped Lena with her science fair project, and then went to the Hilton High School to rate the senior projects, it was great! Definitely will do it again next year. So, its almost 10 and I need to do some t-shirt orders right now, so I can send them out tomorrow.
Tomorrow will consist of readings for my class, then class, then the first day of my MCC nutrition class. So I leave at 12:30 and will get home at 10 pm. And, wait. It's summer break? Oh yea, it is. I'll just keep reminding myself.
Blessings,
Lesya
P.S. Happy First Day of June tomorrow if I don't post!

Just a Few Things...

Hello everyone,
So my supposedly not so busy Friday, turned into a busy Friday. This morning I woke up and cleaned a bit...nothing new. Then Natalya and I went to Henrietta because I had purchase school books for the summer, and she had to return school books, so we went. We ended up meeting Prachi, my friend, for lunch at Olive Garden. Boy did I get full eating soup salad, and bread sticks.
Then we stopped by the mall and Natalya bought a bridal shower gift and then we went to return a skirt I had bought. Well, we come to the register to return it and I saw $15 pop up. I was like is that going to be the price now? Because if it is then I'll take it! He said it would be 50% off of that so I scored a skirt for $8 that used to be $70! So I still got money back and kept the skirt. We then came to my house and we wrapped Natalya's gift and then I drove her to the shower. I just got home, and am feeling so tired! But, my day isn't over yet. I still have to babysit from 6:30-10:30, but I decided I will nap there after the boys go to sleep. I will also finish a book I started last summer but with school and everything I am finally going to finish it this summer called Shades of Blue
So, again I didn't post anything about Florida, but I just do not have any strength to do an extensive post so that will have to wait probably until Tuesday of next week since I have work tomorrow, and Sunday is the conference (or work) and Monday is Memorial day so I will be spending time with family and friends. I thought I might as well update on today's day, if I wasn't going to write about Florida.
Blessings,
Lesya

Still Here

Hi all,
I just wanted to hop on and tell you all my faithful readers that I have not abandoned this blog!
Let me tell you, when you all grow up to be my age ;) you may find little time to write as well... Well I wish that was a good excuse but actually, in my age it isn't.
Last week I was in Florida, and this past week don't even ask me what I have been doing. I don't even know. All I know is that I haven't been home for more than 5 hours straight. I am always somewhere "on the go." So tomorrow is when I have the least going on, for now, so I hope to catch up on posting!
Tonight I'm hoping to go to prayer so have a great night everyone and may the Lord bless you and keep you...
Blessings,
Lesya

Blessings, By Laura Story

Cause what if your blessings come through raindrops
What if your healing come through tears

And what if a thousand sleepless nights

Are what it takes to know You're near
What if my greatest disappointments

Or the aching of this life
Is the revealing of a greater thirst,

this world can't satisfy
And what if trials of this life,

The rain,

The storms,

The darkest nights

Are Your mercies in disguise

Week In Review

Hi Friends!
I am happy it's Friday...well not really. I'll explain.
This week has been one of a kind for me...
I don't think I've mentioned here, but I've been staying at my grandmothers house since I found out that there is internet here (which was Monday). So, Tuesday after visiting Lesya who was in a car crash, I went to my grandmother's to do homework since she is visiting my aunt in Carolina. Well, let me say I LOVE my big family, but with that comes a " chaotic happy, and often loud" environment, not to mention the constant occasional visitors we always seem to have. I love when my cousins come over, but when you've been in school all day, you don't want to come home to a mess the sibling and cousins created in your room, and be distracted from doing school work. Well, let me tell you, I came here at around 7 pm Tuesday and did work till about midnight. It was so easy to concentrate! Wednesday afternoon when I got here, same thing, I made myself food, then sat down to do my project. I guess I'm just not used to this at all because you come here and do what you want to do, without anyone interfering.
It's Family. You're just born to LOVE them. No matter the size!
Now I have a glimpse into what it's like growing in a small family, or living on your own. Let me tell you, it is completely different! But, I wouldn't trade my family, and family life right now, for the world. God put me in my family for a reason. I've learned that not everyone can handle growing up the way I grew up, because if you're used to "this life" (as described here in my grandmothers house), I don't know that you would change it :) you would not want to change it. You're just not accustomed to it. But, those of us growing up in big families are used to "that life" so same goes for us, we wouldn't want to change it :)
Today, after coming to grandma's house I decided to give myself a break before studying...it has been 4 hours and that break is still going on I decided I'd watch a show. At first I saw the Happy Endings show, but I knew I probably should not waste my time watching it. I knew I would feel empty after watching it, if you know what I mean. So, I discovered this Secret Millionaire show. I watched the latest episode, and just burst out crying! Watching people with so little, and then seeing someone helping them, just touched my heart. I recommend you watch an episode or two. I always told God, if you bless me financially in the future, you bet I will give back. There is no greater joy than to give, and bless others with what GOD, not you, has given you!
Well that was not the only time I burst out crying. Thursday, after my post, I finished my project (a case study) and was getting ready for school, and yep started crying. I was just so overwhelmed with school that I cried. It's funny, ever since the second semester, there is always one time that I cry. Well, this semester I thought that wouldn't happen, but on the day before classes end, it happened.
That same day, my lab partner told me he had cancer. I was shocked, and could not work the rest of the lab period. Please keep him in your prayers. He is such a nice kid that doens't deserve to go through what he has to.
The reason I am not so happy it's Friday is because it's game time. Studying time. It's time to finish off the semester by getting perfect great exam scores!
Blessings,
Lesya

Have You Ever Felt Like...

Have you every had something to do for school and thought, oh well that won't take me long to do...and then it does! Or when you have no idea what you are doing,  and you try to ask a classmate, and they start swearing because they have no idea what they are doing too...so you try and you try and you try and hope that what you are doing is right? In the back of your mind, you think its right, and hope you will ace the assignment. Have you felt like if you asked a teacher a question, you are left feeling more confused. (Well my classmate did that, and felt that way). Have you ever felt unprepared for a class presentation, but you have no other choice because you do not have time to prepare for it?
Basically, yesterday I had my citizenship ceremony and when we came home, I went straight to my grandmothers house. I felt so overwhelmed!!!! Yesterday I almost cried because I just didn't think I would be able to do a project in one night (thats right, lesson learned!) and I am still not done...yep its morning but I have a little left to do :) I am very glad that I have this quiet environment at my grandma's house, I just wish I was not stuck doing school work! Hopefully tomorrow when it is sunny out I will tan or something on her balcony, because I am sick of looking at my computer screen and the wall in front of me. Well, thanks for reading my blabbering, but I thought I should record this for myself. I cannot wait to get back to "normal" blogging. I just keep thinking that next week at this time, I will wake up to........no school!!!
